Made-to-order, not made-to-warehouse
We make in small batches of ~200 sets — never overproducing against forecasts, never warehousing deadstock for end-of-season landfill bins. With our supplier partnership, your order is fulfilled in 3 days and ships standard. Small-batch, fast turnaround, zero waste.
Organic bamboo viscose, closed-loop spun
Our fabric is 95% organic bamboo viscose, 5% spandex. Bamboo grows fast (3–4× faster than cotton), needs no irrigation, and our supplier uses closed-loop spinning — meaning the chemicals used to dissolve the pulp get recovered and reused, not dumped.
OEKO-TEX Standard 100, every batch
Every piece carries OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certification — testing finished fabric for 350+ substances harmful to skin (formaldehyde, certain dyes, heavy metals, phthalates). We don't ship without it.
Plastic-free packaging
Garment bags are compostable cornstarch-based film. Mailers are 100% recycled paper, recyclable curbside. The hangtag is seed paper — plant it, get wildflowers. Yes, really.
things we don't do yet (and why we're saying so).
A lot of brands hide this part. We think being upfront about the gaps makes the rest of the page believable. Here's where we still have work.
- GOTS certification on the bamboo specifically.
The Global Organic Textile Standard is the gold standard for organic claims, but it doesn't apply cleanly to regenerated cellulose like bamboo viscose (the process changes the fiber chemistry). We use OEKO-TEX instead. If we move to a GOTS-eligible blend in the future, we'll say so.
- MADE SAFE certification on the full product.
MADE SAFE tests the entire product — fabric, snaps, threads, dyes, packaging — against a 6,500-substance list. We're going through the application process. It's a 12–18 month thing. We'll claim it when we actually have it, not before.
- A buyback / take-back program.
We want one. The right way to do it (clean, repair, resell or donate) takes infrastructure we don't have yet. Year-two goal.
- Carbon-neutral shipping.
Domestic shipping is via UPS Ground (lower carbon than air). We pay into a verified offset for international orders. Calling that "carbon neutral" feels like marketing — so we don't. It's better than nothing, not perfect.
the short supply chain.
- 01Bamboo grown in southern China.
Same region most of the world's bamboo viscose comes from. Our farm partner is a 5,000-acre cooperative — no irrigation, no pesticides, no fertilizers. Bamboo actually likes neglect.
- 02Pulped and spun in Zhejiang.
The closed-loop spinning facility recovers 99% of the solvents used in the process. Independent audit every 18 months.
- 03Cut and sewn in Da Nang, Vietnam.
Family-owned factory, ~80 sewers, fair-wage SA8000 certified. We visit twice a year. Every order is cut against your specific size combo, not pulled from a prebuilt stockpile.
- 04Quality-checked + packed in Long Beach, CA.
Final QC happens in California — every garment inspected by hand before it ships. The team here is also who reads (and replies to) your hello@ emails.
